We are asking all registrants to submit one video of of their playing to help us assign you music that is appropriately challenging. We want you to learn and grow, but we don't want to overwhelm you.

This is why our placement videos DO NOT determine if you are accepted into the Elevating Flutistry Intensive. If you submitted a registration form and payment, you’re accepted. This video submission is simply a way for us to ensure that we place flutists into appropriate chamber ensembles and flute choir sections.

 

This is a very low-pressure recording. We want to hear where you’re at in your flute journey. We do not need to hear the most “perfect” or “polished” take to know where you’re at, so please don’t stress.

 

Recording Tips:

• Record your both your chromatic scale and your selected excerpt in one video take.

• Feel free to record your video on any device that you have available! Your phone works well!

• Please upload your video to YouTube (you will need a Google account) and mark the video as “Unlisted.” This will ensure that your video can be viewed by us, but won’t be found by others.

• Copy & paste your YouTube video link into your registration form submission at the time of submission.
